Review: freefinance.at

I wrote my B.Sc. Thesis about characteristics of entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. I tried to get data that prove the different roles they may possibly play. One role mentioned is the jack-of-all-trades, someone who can do many things. This way a person can fill in possible gaps that arise.

One thing you may end up doing your own accounting and taxes. If you, like me, too have learned this in school or university. And it’s not that hard if you’re willing to spend 80€/hour of a professional. Basically if you can do it at a quarter of her speed, you’re still making 20€/hour. By not spending it.

Now, there surely must be tools that can help you with this? And while I was googling for „einnahmen ausgaben anlage“, an ad showed up.

It invited me to use their 100€/ year service for free, so I thought „why not“ try to do my tax declarations for 2015, 2016 and 2017 with it. They’re not that difficult really. I just need a process and I can do it. Let’s see how it goes.

Having a good system right from the beginning is important, it will save you time later. Like me, who now has a Finnish bank account at Holvi, which is not tailored to the Austrian market, and costs me 8€/month. That was stupid, time to switch. And let’s see if we can do it right, the second time.
